Local Rules

USGA Rules govern all play except where modified by the following local rules.

1 Anywhere “through the green”, a ball which is embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground, except in loose sand, may be lifted without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole.

2 Out of bounds is defined by white stakes and /or lines. This applies to holes 5, 8, 10, 12 and the family cemetery plot on 18. The fence to the left of holes 6 and 7 defines the out of bounds. In a case where both stakes and the fence are present, stakes govern.

3 Rock gardens and decorative flowerbeds are considered ground under repair. Artificial road surfaces, sides of roads and paths are immovable obstructions. Wood chips are to be treated as movable obstructions. Stones in bunkers are to be treated as movable obstructions.

4 Two ball drop areas have been provided on the 5th hole. The ball drop area located between the teeing area and the stream fronting the green may be used if you ball goes into either of the water hazards that protect the front of the green. The ball drop area located between the right greenside bunker and the pond on the right may be used if your ball goes in the pond on the right. One stroke penalty.
